It really *is* fantastic!

Last night, I caved and took Caleb to Fantastic Sam's where they always do a better job of cutting his hair than I do. And they did--I'm a sucker for boys with short hair (especially my own boys with short hair)--but even that prejudice aside, may I say that he does, in fact, look fantastic?

Unfortunately, I don't think I can say the same for the three other people who were there at the same time we were. There was the man with exceedingly thin hair and a comb-over who had to give the stylist special instructions so she wouldn't cut those important three hairs off. There was the man who began with a badly thinning mullet and ended with a newly trimmed, badly thinning mullet. And then there was the adolescent girl to whom the stylist said, "Yeah, if you'll just comb or brush through your hair every day, then it won't get quite so tangled and it will be a lot easier for you to take care of." She said this as she struggled for five minutes to get all the way from the girl's roots to her ends on just one side of her head.

In comparison, Caleb's non-stop jabber about how he was as strong as Superman and could lift up anything except Kryptonite was practically charming.

  1. I am literally laughing out loud. And thank you because I really needed the laugh. The 3 important hairs for his beautiful comb-over. Ha ha!!
