At four months, Cecily
  • Prefers the letter M to all others. She likes to say "mmmmmm" all day, typically with her tongue on her top right lip. She even cries with the letter M, which is funny since it requires a closed mouth. Just believe me since I have no video.
  • Indicates that she wants to be picked up by arching her back.
  • Likes to chew on her clothes and blankets.
  • Is like a mini Tasmanian devil when it's time to eat. She pinches and grabs with both hands and presses her feet down so she can lift up her bum, all while trying to stay latched on. We've both spent a fair amount of time covered in milk lately.
  • Isn't rolling over yet, but when put on her tummy, she does get her knees underneath her and act like she's trying to crawl. Crazy baby.
  • HATES being put down for a nap. I wish I could get her to take a pacifier, or, failing that, to suck on her fingers or thumb so that she could learn to self-soothe. So far it's a no-go, though. She'll suck on my bicep, on my shirt, and on my collarbone when I try to put her down, but nothing else.
  • Is back on the charts (if only just) for height (25.5 inches: 90th percentile) AND weight (17 lbs. 11 oz.: 95th percentile).
  • Is delighted by (and delights) her daddy

    and her brother

  1. Oh, the cuteness of all these pictures and descriptions spreads much happiness. Thanks you!

  2. She couldn't be cuter. And it's been way too long since I've seen her.
