An early list.

Caleb's been spending a lot of time in Grandma's office at the hospital while Paul accompanies me to my now twice-weekly appointments. Yesterday, when we picked the boy up on our way back out to the car, my mom told me that she'd been conscripted into transcribing a Christmas list*. Apparently, this is what Caleb wants this year:

1 baby
8 things for Mom
Milk x 10
3 binkies for Cecily
4 clothes for Mom
3 more babies
6 clothes for Mom
flowers
candy
4 things for Dad
sled
bread for Dad to eat (wheat)
drink for Dad to drink

Though his generosity is impressive (10 clothes for me? plus 8 "things" for me? [but only 4 for Dad...] sweet!), he might be just a tad disappointed in six weeks when he doesn't find a set of triplets waiting for him under the Christmas tree.

*There is a certain measure of guilt involved in pawning Caleb off on my mom when she's working, but I'm pretty sure she and her office mates get a kick out of the stream-of-consciousness that is an hour spent with a four-year-old.

  1. He's very generous. I was expecting at least one Star Wars request.

  2. I love seeing what kids say. It's one of the best things about "Mommy Blogs". :)
